Seems, all the world over supporters of our rogue President are dropping almost as fast as his approval ratings. There is no doubt, that being viewed as Bush’s lap dog was at the root of Tony Blair exiting Downing Street back in June. As Prime Minister for 10 years, his term will be known as exceptionally good economic times in Great Britain, but will be forever marred as well with the unpopular (and unnecessary) Iraq war.
Bush’s buddy and “supporter” President Gen. Musharraf is only still in power, via a declaration of Marshall Law, and he has now gone from President to Dictator, thus leaving the U.S. looking bad to the people of Pakistan.
And now, Bush’s second vocal ally, Australia’s Conservative Prime Minister John Howard was handed a stunning defeat in Australia. What turned voters to the Labor Party (Liberal) and against Howard? Promises to remove troops form Iraq, and the promise to sign on to the Kyoto Protocol. Something Howard and President Bush were both staunchly against.
So it seems while we in this country somehow continue to elect boneheads that are denying global warming or still lying about the war in Iraq, it seems that the rest of the world has caught on. I only hope when the elections roll around next year, we don’t continue to show our ignorance to the world, and get somebody into office that is willing to stop the insanity.
